Choosing PLA or PETG for your application

Compare the documented PLA and PETG series and use a clear application brief to guide your sample evaluation.

Choosing PLA or PETG for your application

1. Start with your application

Describe the object you want to print, the appearance required and the conditions in which it will be used. Share the printer and slicer available to you. A material choice should be evaluated against that specific brief rather than a photograph alone.

2. Compare the available series

Huansheng’s PLA range includes Basic, Silk, Dual-color Silk, Rainbow Silk and Matte. The PETG range includes Solid Color, Rainbow, Matte and Crystal. Check the product pages for the available series and customer color references. Do not assume that every finish is offered in both material families.

3. Evaluate samples consistently

Choose representative samples and print the same test model using a suitable profile for each material. Record the printer, nozzle, slicer and settings. Review the surface, color and suitability for your intended use. Ask our team to clarify any requirement that is not documented on the product page.

4. Confirm the commercial brief

After evaluating the material, confirm the selected series, colors, quantity, spool and label requirements, packaging and delivery country with our team. Physical samples help you confirm color and appearance before moving to production.
